Drain Cleaning in Rhode Island
Camera-first diagnosis, professional augers and hydro jetting. We find what's actually blocking the line, then make it gone.
The clog is a symptom. We treat the line.
A drain that keeps backing up isn't bad luck. It's a line with a problem: roots at a joint, a belly holding sludge, grease closing the pipe an inch a year, or fifty-year-old cast iron flaking from the inside. SOS clears Rhode Island drains with the right tool for the actual cause, and we show you the proof on camera.
Camera inspections: see before you spend
A sewer camera turns guesswork into a diagnosis. Before recommending anything beyond a simple auger job, we run a camera and show you exactly what's down there, and give you the footage. If a previous company quoted you a dig, a second opinion with our camera can save five figures.
Hydro jetting: the reset button for old pipes
Where a cable punches a hole through a clog, a jetter scours the full diameter of the pipe wall with up to 4,000 PSI of water: cutting roots, stripping grease, and flushing scale out of the line. It's the difference between a drain that works this week and one that works for years.
What we clear
- Main sewer lines: backups, root intrusion, recurring clogs
- Kitchen & bathroom drains: grease, hair, scale, dropped objects
- Floor drains & laundry lines: basements and utility rooms
- Storm & yard drains: before spring rain finds your foundation

Good questions
Asked before every drain cleaning job.
How much does drain cleaning cost?
Simple drain clearing is a flat-rate visit quoted before we start. Main-line work depends on what the camera finds. You'll see the footage and approve the price before anything happens.
Is hydro jetting safe for old pipes?
Yes, when it's preceded by a camera inspection, which is our standard practice. We verify pipe condition first and adjust pressure accordingly. Jetting is gentler than repeated cable snaking on fragile lines.
Why does my drain keep clogging after other companies clear it?
Because a cable makes a hole in the clog rather than removing it. Grease, scale and roots stay on the pipe wall and regrow. A camera inspection finds the cause; jetting removes it.
Can tree roots really break into a sewer line?
They don't break in. They grow in, through tiny gaps at pipe joints, then expand. Jetting with a root-cutting nozzle clears them; the camera tells us whether the joint needs a spot repair to keep them out.
Do you clear drains on weekends?
Yes, sewage backing up is an emergency whenever it happens, and our 24/7 line dispatches drain calls on weekends and holidays at the same flat pricing we quote in advance.
What shouldn't I put down my kitchen drain?
Grease is the big one. It coats the pipe warm and sets cold, narrowing the line an inch a year. Coffee grounds, rice and 'flushable' wipes are the other repeat offenders we pull out of Rhode Island drains.
