"We called SOS for a leaky fixture, and they were quick to respond. Came right out and replaced gaskets instead of the whole fixture. Another plumber quoted over $1000 before they saw what we needed… we will call them again if we ever need anything."

Leak Detection & Repair in Rhode Island
A spinning meter, a stain on the ceiling, the sound of water with everything off. We trace it to the source and repair the cause.
Water always leaves a trail. We read it.
Most leaks announce themselves indirectly: a water bill that jumped, a warm spot on a floor, paint bubbling on a ceiling below a bathroom. By the time you see water, it's usually been moving for a while. Our leak calls start with finding the true source, moisture readings, pressure testing, and access cut only where it's needed, so the repair fixes the cause, not the symptom.
The leaks Rhode Island homes spring
- Pinhole leaks in aging copper, often a water-chemistry problem that will repeat elsewhere; we'll tell you honestly if a repipe beats chasing holes
- Slab leaks under post-war ranches, pinpointed without tearing up the whole floor
- Fixture and supply-line failures: the braided line behind a toilet has ended more hardwood floors than any burst main
- Shower valves and tub drains: the slow ones that rot framing for years
- Outdoor spigots and irrigation lines: freeze splits that only show when spring pressure returns

Good questions
Asked before every leaks & repairs job.
How do you find a leak inside a wall?
Moisture readings, pressure isolation and thermal signatures narrow it down before we cut. The goal is one small, deliberate access hole, not exploratory demolition.
My water bill doubled but I see no water. Now what?
Check your meter with everything off: if it's moving, water is going somewhere, often a slab leak, a running toilet flapper or an irrigation line. We isolate it the same visit.
Is one pinhole leak in copper a warning sign?
Usually, yes. Pinholes come from water chemistry working on the pipe from inside, and rarely travel alone. We'll assess the surrounding pipe honestly, sometimes a section replacement now beats four emergency calls later.
Do you work with my homeowner's insurance?
We document the failure, the cause and the repair with photos and a written report formatted the way adjusters expect. Many Rhode Island carriers already know our paperwork.
