"They were responsive even on a holiday. The only company out of several that actually responded. Showed up and did professional work. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable and good service."

Sewer Line Repair & Replacement in Rhode Island
When the camera shows a collapsed, offset or rotted sewer line, we excavate and repair or replace it ourselves, with the permit pulled, the utilities located and the footage in your hands before anything is agreed.
Sewer line repair and replacement, by excavation
Some sewer problems are blockages, and cleaning is the whole answer. Others are the pipe itself: a section that has collapsed, a joint that has shifted so the line no longer meets itself, a low spot that holds waste and breeds the next backup, or a pipe made of a material that has quietly reached the end of its life. For those, cleaning buys a few weeks and a false sense of relief. The repair is to open the ground, fix or replace what has failed, and close it properly.
We do that work ourselves. Not a subcontractor, not a referral to a dig crew you have never met.
What the camera finds in Rhode Island lines
- Vitrified clay, common in pre-war housing, with joints every couple of feet that roots find without difficulty and that shift as the ground moves
- Cast iron, which rusts from the inside until the bottom of the pipe is gone while the top still looks fine on camera
- Orangeburg, the tar-impregnated fiber pipe used from the 1940s into the 1970s, which deforms, blisters and eventually collapses on a schedule of its own
- Offsets and bellies from settling, tree roots or an original install that was never quite to grade
- Crushed or sheared sections where something heavy went over the line or a later contractor found it the hard way
Spot repair or full replacement: the honest math
If one section has failed and the rest of the line is sound on camera, a spot repair of that section is the right job and we will quote it that way. If the camera shows a line failing in several places, or a material like Orangeburg that is going to keep failing, replacing the run is the honest recommendation, because three spot repairs over four years cost more than one replacement and involve digging the yard three times. You see the footage, you see both numbers, and you decide.
How the job actually goes
- Camera and locate: we find the failure, mark its depth and position on the surface, and give you the footage
- Permit and utility marking: the town permit is pulled and Dig Safe is called so gas, electric and water are marked before a bucket touches the ground
- Excavation: as narrow as the depth and soil allow, with the spoil kept off what you care about
- Repair or replacement: new pipe bedded to grade, joints made properly, connections to the house and the main done to code
- Inspection and backfill: inspected where the town requires it, then backfilled and compacted in lifts so the lawn does not sink next spring
- Restoration: the ground put back the way we found it, or as close as a dig allows, and we are clear in advance about what that will look like
What we do not do
We do not do trenchless lining or pipe bursting. Those are real technologies with real uses, and they are not ours. When a line needs replacing we replace it by excavation, which is the repair we can inspect, warrant and stand behind. If a trenchless approach is genuinely the better fit for a particular property we will say so rather than dig because digging is what we sell.
Water service lines are a related job, the supply pipe coming in rather than the waste pipe going out, and we replace those by excavation as well. Ask when you call.
How a rescue works
From your call to fixed, in four moves.
You call. A person answers.
No phone tree, no callback queue. Describe the problem and we dispatch the nearest tech, same-day for most calls, immediately for emergencies.
Upfront price before we open a wall.
The tech diagnoses on site, walks you through options, and quotes flat pricing before any work begins. You approve, or you don't. No surprises on the invoice.
Fixed right, left clean.
Stocked vans mean most repairs finish in one visit. We protect floors, wear boot covers, and leave the space cleaner than we found it.
Backed in writing.
Workmanship is guaranteed and every tech is licensed and insured in Rhode Island. If something isn't right, we come back. That's the whole policy.

Good questions
Asked before every sewer line repair & replacement job.
How much does sewer line replacement cost in Rhode Island?
It depends on depth, length, what is above the line, and whether one section or the whole run has failed, so we quote a flat figure after the camera run rather than guess. That number includes the permit, the utility locate, the excavation, the pipe, the inspection and the backfill. Financing is available for the larger jobs.
Can you fix just the broken section?
Yes, when the camera shows the rest of the line is sound. A spot repair is a real repair, not a compromise. Where the line is failing in several places we will tell you, because a spot repair on a line that is dying elsewhere is money spent twice.
Do you do trenchless sewer repair?
No. We do not do lining or pipe bursting. We repair and replace sewer lines by excavation, which is the method we can inspect and stand behind, and we say so before you get a quote rather than after.
Who handles the permit and the utility marking?
We do. The town permit is pulled and Dig Safe is called before any excavation, and the inspection is scheduled where the town requires one. You should not be coordinating any of that yourself.
How long does a sewer line replacement take?
A straightforward residential run is typically a day or two including inspection and backfill. Depth, ledge, a long driveway over the line or a difficult connection at the street can extend it, and we will tell you which of those applies before we start.
What happens to my lawn and driveway?
We excavate as narrowly as the job allows and put the ground back compacted in lifts so it does not sink later. Where the line runs under a paved surface or a mature planting, we are specific in advance about what restoration we do and what you should expect to see afterward.
